Hotel is located in a nice spot with amazing view over mountains. You can enjoy it during lovely breakfast. Food was very tasty, buffet was rich. Hotel built with very quality materials. Friendly and helpful stuff. Very clean hotel. They have menu for pillows. We love staying there.

The room was very spacious with a lovely balcony. I was unfortunate with the weather when I arrived as the views of the mountains were clouded, however the next morning it was a much clearer sky to be able to see all the views. Lovely location.

It was one of the best Hotels I have ever been. Great is everything: the room with extremely comfortable bed and pillows, staff, brilliant dinner and breakfast. We didn't visit Spa and Sauna because of lack of time but we'll do it definitely next time.

Breakfast was plentiful with products from local businesses and farms. Our view over the Boden See, from the balcony, was amazing. You will need a car but everything is within a short drive. The front desk staff is super friendly and very helpful.

Excellent clean room with all needed facilities, exceptional view, good breakfast, and amiable staff. Good restaurant with local food and an extensive wine selection.

Comfortable and clean room. Even we haven’t reserved we’ve got room with balcony with view to Bregentzerwald. We had dinner in the restaurant (paid separate) and the food was very good, maybe a little bit pricey but this part of Austria is pricey itself. Free parking is additional advantage.

Charming hotel in a wonderful location for day hikes in the Bregenserwald. The view from our room with balcony was lovely and provided a relaxing place to rest after touring and hiking. Both dinners and breakfasts were excellent with attentive service.

Very attentive and friendly owner. Staff well-mannered and accommodating. Travelled with two children; hotel had already prepared beds for them before check-in. Excellent meals, drinks were very affordable. Pool was nice, and sauna facilities appreciated; towels and bathrobes were provided. Workout space very nice, and location near skiing was perfect (winter reservation).

The hotel is lovely, the staff wonderful and the facilities are great. Our two rooms were a good size and the beds very comfy. The bathrooms are tiny and dated and did not fit with the great bedroom size. The breakfast is good, but split over two rooms, which is ok, but requires some walking to and fro. The quality is pretty good, although the coffee was a bit average. The facilities are excellent; great outdoor area and pool and the wellness area (sauna etc) was lovely. There was never a shortage of sun beds and the natural tree shade was lovely. The area suited us. Good walking etc. Minimal walkable eateries. We are from the UK and it appeared unusual for UK people to stay; we had a lot of comments saying this. Everybody, staff and guests were super friendly and we never felt uncomfortable.

Fantastic venue for business or a holiday retreat. In our case, we were on business and running extremely late due to client commitments. Our wonderful host waited until 12:30 in the morning to allow us to check in - despite check-in closing at 10:00pm.

Good location and breakfast. Nice sauna and pool. Water was warm enough to swim without issues. Room was big and had enough space for ski stuff.

Very nice place to stay but I wouldn't recommend Oberstaufen from late November through mid-December because this is when most shops and restaurants are closed as they prepare for their peak season. This was disappointing to us about the town. The hotel was beautiful and very conveniently located to train station; easy to get around. The spa was nice BUT the pool and hot whirlpool are not hot; they were cold. Best part of the stay was the St Nicklaus/Krampus tradition from Dec 4-6, which was fun to witness.

Ansonsten ist das Hotel sehr gut, auch der Wellness Bereich hat den Kindern und uns gut gefallen. Also alles in allem Top Aufenthalt.

Hervorragendes Hotel mit sehr sehr netten Menschen welche allesamt Profis in Ihrem Bereich sind. Zusätzliche Angebote wie Schwimmgymnastik, Gymnastik, Meditation und geführte Wanderungen wurden von Profis mit sehr großem Wissen vermittelt. Hier ein ganz großes Lob an Peter, Adi und Renate. Wobei Peter den größeren Anteil an wirklich schönen Momenten vergeben hat. Danke an Peter und ans ganze Team

We had a wonderful time at the Johanneshof. The rooms are spacious and bright with lots of power plugs and a big wardrobe. WiFi and TV work well. You can even choose your preferred pillow. The breakfast is delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The two and a half saunas (60°, 90°, plus infrared) as well as the pool and the fresh water tubs are great for relaxing. The complementary water, tea and nuts / dried fruits are a very welcome addition. Every other day the hotel organises an activity for free (yoga, guided walks, etc). Parking is available behind the house and an EV charger is located on ground (Chargepoint, to be paid, currently 57c). Massages can be booked as well. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, but there are numerous great options in a 5 min driving radius or a 25 min walking distance. The complementary Oberstaufen plus card allows you to use public transport and ski lifts, visit museums, participate in activities, etc.

The property sits in a beautiful farm country. The self-check in process was simple and easy. The hotel is clean! No AC in the rooms so be advised they can get a little stuffy. The breakfast was great with a lot of local ingredients and the breakfast staff was friendly and conversational (even in English:). The ping pong table in the basement added a lot of evening competitive fun! The whole property sits in a tranquil and peaceful area and it is great for resetting and recharging.

Good value or money - Accommodation is a bit like Center Parcs but much cheaper. Nice location. Good sized pool. The staff are extremely friendly. The buffet restaurant is great for an evening meal - nothing fancy but there's a lot of choice and you can eat as much as you like - 3 courses for Eur 21

Wir waren unterm Strich sehr zufrieden. Eine Info an alle Hundebesitzer, Hunde sind zwar willkommen, dürfen aber nicht mit in das Restaurant, wer also seinen Hund nicht alleine auf dem Zimmer lassen kann oder möchte sollte entweder ohne Bewirtung buchen oder nach einem Hotel suchen wo Hunde mit in das Restaurant mitgenommen werden dürfen.

Unser Zimmer befand sich im EG,die Ausrichtung der Balkons war genau bei dem Zugang zum Hauseingang. ( Es sind ebenerdige Balkons genau auf Höhe des Zugangweges zum Hoteleingang ) Man musste die Zimmer Store immer zuziehen weil sonst jeder Gast ins Zimmer sah und viel schlimmer war dass die Raucher vorm Hoteleingang standen und rauchten und der ganze gestank in die Zimmer drang. Man konnte die Balkontüre nur öffnen wenn kein Raucher in der Nähe war. Der Service des Personals war allerdings sehr Gut.Besonderen Dank an das Personal dass sich um das Frühstück kümmerte.Diese waren sehr Flott und immer freundlich und Nett. Vielen Dank

Wir, meine Frau und unsere zwei Kinder(2+4) brauchten nochmal eine Luftveränderung und buchten eher zufällig, wegen Last Minute, das Bavaria. Wunderschön gelegen am Ortsrand von Oberstaufen ist man sofort im Grünen bzw. Auf der Langlaufloipe - besser geht es nicht. Das Hotel ist im Mitgliedsverbund der Oberstaufen - Karte Plus - heißt Therme, Bus, Liftgebühren... sind inklusive. Das war für uns perfekt! Zimmer, WLAN, Bad, Pool + Frühstück waren bestens....wir kennen 5SterneHotels und wir können Familie Schneider nur gratulieren! Weiter so- hier fühlt sich der Gast bestens aufgehoben!

Sehr gute Betten. Geräumiges Zimmer. Sehr nettes Personal. Leider wurden die hoteleigenen Parkplätze mit 9€/Nacht berechnet, was bei den Zimmerpreisen auch gerne eine Inklusivleistung sein dürfte. Trotzdem ist das Hotel empfehlenswert

Super Frühstück und schöne Location um zu Aktivitäten in der Region aufzubrechen.

Ich war im Skiurlaub in Oberstaufen. Da ich kurzfristig gebucht habe, war in Oberstaufen nur noch dieses Hotel frei. Check-In: Hervorragend, Info zu Oberstaufen: sehr gut. Mit der Oberstaufen Card gibt es Vergünstigungen bei Liften im Skigebiet. Zimmer: Sauber und groß genug. Restaurant: Bedienung und Schnelligkeit exzellent. Für mich ein rundum zufriedener Urlaub.

Gemütliches, kleines Hotel mit gutem Restaurant. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und neuwertig eingerichtet. Bett und Matratze sehr bequem. Das Bad war ein wenig klein, aber ok. Abend/Nachts ein wenig laut weil man die anderen Gäste im Flur hört. Das Frühstück war frisch und sehr ausgewogen. Komme gerne wieder!

Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Oberstaufen, was für uns sehr ansprechend war. Im Hotel gibt es einen kleinen, aber feinen Fitnessraum, der alle wichtigen Geräte beinhaltet. Die Cardiogeräte sind in einem Top-Zustand.

Hotel Bad Rain was in an excellent location, super dog friendly, and had amazing welcoming staff. The food was delicious and they had free tea and coffee along with fruit available anytime. I would recommend to anyone traveling with a dog and wanting to hike and explore the allgau mountains only 10 minutes away from the lake and hiking was right outside your hotel room door.

The room was very spacious, a little dated and we did had a little dust, but the room was tidied up every day, and the beds were made every day. The pool was fantastic. Everywhere was a little extra like a cup of tea, bubble water, daily campfire, and so on. Also the neighbourhood was perfect and the free skipass was a perfect addition. Breakfast was very good.

Had an excellent 3 days short holiday with my wife. The hotel room was very friendly and clean, booked the deluxe room. Food was also very good with plenty of selection, Salad buffet, soup, and various dishes. No one will go hungry. The price of drinks is normal. If you are staying in the hotel, that is where your Breakfast will be and not in the restaurant. The swimming pool is 25 meters for adults and a pool area for children which was well visited. 1 sauna and 1 Steam room are also clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and competent in their duties. If you are an older couple like my wife and me, the best time to book is outside the children's holidays. Will definitely be coming again, the next time with my grandchild.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Amazing views, short walk to the village centre (down/uphill though). Sauna and spa area top notch and a massive bonus for turning on the Sauna in the morning as per my request. Delicous breakfast.

A good base for touring the area.Our bedroom was comfortable and the choice at breakfast was very good. The restaurant serves very nice food. All staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed with family of 12 people who spoke English and German. The staff had a table for all of us ready for breakfast every day so we could eat together. They are super friendly, efficient and accommodating. The spa is great and clean. Only thing missing as we went in summer is a pool.

The restaurant at the Krone has some of the best food in the Allgäu. The rooms are fairly large, many have balconies, and the bathroom (and shower) are actually large. Closet space is also plentiful.

Excelent hotel with beautiful bathroom and amazing breakfast. Personal was very kind!! Hotel in the middle of wonderful nature near to the Alpsea which was for me great experience.

There was a lot of freedom; we did not feel like we were being "observed." There was a mini-bar room with lots of amenities and food items. Almost like a small grocery store! The Allgäuer beer in the refrigerator was excellent (said my son), and the prices were very reasonable. The apartment is very nicely decorated, but not that you feel ill-at-ease. Very easy to relax. Beds were comfortable. Shower was clean and good. Really very nice. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Everything surpassed our expectations: staff super friendly, hotel clean and beautiful, amazing view to the mountains, room bigger than expected, good breakfast. We even got baby items although we did not requested them.

it had an amazing view of the lake and was really clean, and it even had a sauna! unfortunately, we couldn't get to try their restaurant but it seemed to be bustling and really popular! will definitely give it a try next time!

It was quiet and clean. The view was OK. The host Sascha was super nice. If you like TV you will appreciate a wide range of TV stations and VOD services.

We had a lovely weekend at Heimatel. It is a very nice studio in a quiet location. The studio is light, clean and comfortable with all you need. It was lovely to go for a swimm in the pool. Sascha, the host, came to say hello and see if we were happy and if everything was ok.

The appartment was in a great condition and upon arrival was everything clean and polished (except for the windows). The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything needed. The underground parking was very convenient. Location is also amazing - close to the main street, supermarket is within 5 min walking distance, Kurpark is also almost around the corner. We have also tried dinner from the restaurant and it was very tasty. Oberstaufen card is also great as one can use 3 Bergbahnen for free which is great. Despite of the negatives described below, we would definitely come back again and we can fully recommend this place.

Sehr schöne Chaletsuite mit allem Komfort! Gute Lage mitten im Dorf, einzig auf Balkon fehlt Privatsphäre, sehr ausgestellt! Im Schlafimmer wären Tagesvorhänge von Vorteil, da direkten Einblick, so dass man immer die Nachtvorhänge zuziehen musste. Es war sauber, doch beim näheren Hinschauen gab es doch einiges zu Bemängeln, wie Haare im Bad, in der Kühlschrankschublade hatte es noch Brösel drin, auch Teppich im Wohnzimmer war nicht so sauber! Da wir eine Balkontüre nicht öffnen konnten wollte jemand vorbeikommen, kam aber niemand.

We had a great time, everything was just amazing! Thank you!

The guest apartments are wonderful. The view is amazing. Everything is new and very clean. The apartment has everything necessary including coffee, filters, washing-up liquid. The terrase is really big. We were given guest cards to use all the chair lifts and public transport free (only in summer and if you stay 3 night and more). We will certainly come back.

The location is fantastic with the most beautiful view from the apartment and balcony. It is also a great starting point for hikes. Renata is very helpful. The pool can be booked daily. There are a total of four apartments, and each apartment can book the pool for one hour. This works very well, and the advantage is that you have the pool to yourself. We would love to come back.

Everything was very clean: the room, the spa, the “common room”. the kitchen had everything we needed. the view from the balcony is breathtaking and Renata was lovely! even though she doesn’t speak English, we managed to communicate and she arranged everything we needed. I would highly recommend this accommodation!
